Limey Roofing is owned and operated by Ian and Chris Hanley. Based in Redwood City, California, Limey Roofing is a small family run business established in 1988.
Ian Hanley immigrated to the US from England in the early 1980's. He quickly realized he needed to find work and support his family. Ian began working as a roofer for several other roofing companies before going out on his own in 1988 to start Limey Roofing. Going on their 29th year in business Limey Roofing is here to stay. After college, Ian's son Chris Hanley joined to work full time in 2012 after spending many summers learning the roofing trade alongside his dad.
Ian is a proud Englishman, hence the name "Limey" which is US slang for a British person. You'll see him arrive to work early in the morning with his cup of English Tea in hand.
Limey Roofing emphasizes quality, not quantity. Unlike large cookie cutter roofing companies, Ian and his son Chris do all the work themselves, and don't farm out installation to the lowest bidder. All work is performed with great care and attention to detail. The job isn't complete until the client and Ian are satisfied with the results.
